Madeline Clara Hester Inducted into Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society

Madeline Clara Hester of Simpsonville was inducted into the University of South Carolina Upstate's Pi Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society.

Hester is one of 12 students to be inducted as a charter member.

Founded in 1942, Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes scholarly achievement in the field of criminal justice.

In order to be inducted, a student must be a criminal justice major or minor, have completed at least three semesters of college, have at least a 3.2 GPA both overall and within criminal justice, and be in the top 15 percent of their class.
